JOFFA's Committee was participated in the 19th AFFA Annual General Meeting at the New World Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh
City, Vietnam on 11-13 November 2009.
The participating committee members led by
President Mr.Toon Teng Fatt, the committee members were comprised of Mr.Lim
Pang Hoon (Deputy President), Mr.Victor Francis Beins (Vice President),
Mr.Vijiyan A/L CPK Narayana Pillai (Secretary), Mr.Ching Lee Fong
(Committee), Mr.Danny Siow (Committee) and Mr.Uthayashangkar A/L Elan Ko

JOFFA GALA NITE 2008 - 20 DEC 2008
JOFFA celebrated its 28th Anniversary Celebration dinner
on 20 December 2008, 7:00 PM, Saturday at the Grand Straits Garden
Seafood Restaurant’s Ballroom. Kawasan Danga Bay, Jalan Skudai, Johor
Bahru.
A total of 92 dinner
tables were served with more than 950 people, majority of them JOFFA
members and invited guests
plus
all heads of Government Agencies
including members of
the media were to be with us on this auspicious night.
Our guest of honour for the Nite was
Tuan Haji Mohd Subre Bin Ishak, Pengarah Kastam Negeri Johor.
The
entertainments for the evening were comedian Mr.Yusof Chong, Live Band,
Dancing Show and Magic Show.
10 grand prizes for the lucky draw were
given away and the dinner ended at 11:00 PM with the members and guests
all were
enjoyed
this meaningful and memorable night.

Engagement Between PTP and JOFFA

Workshop on Business Practices and
Performance in The Logistics Services - 8 September 2007
This workshop was held on 8 September 2007,
9:30 am at the Selesa Hotel, Johor Bahru which was organised by
NPC with collaboration of JOFFA. The admission was free for JOFFA's members and invited
guests. The workshop attracted 70 over participants.
Mr.Toon Teng Fatt, President of JOFFA was
invited to address the welcome remarks.
The topic of IMP3 and business practices and
performance study was presented by Mr.Che
Razali, Manager, Service Research Division NPC, PJ, and Mr.M.Viknasevaran,
Honorary Customs Advisor to JOFFA was invited to talk on the Customs Act 1967 - A
brief overview.
The event ended at 12:30 pm and lunch was
served immediately after the session.
DagangNet-JOFFA
Invitational Bowling Championship 2006 -
19 November 2006
For
the first time, the Johor Freight Forwarders Association and Dagang Net
Technologies Sdn Bhd were jointly organised the Dagangnet-JOFFA
Invitational Bowling Championship 2006, which was held on 19 November
2006, Sunday, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Ampang Superbowl, Leisure
Mall, Taman Pelangi, Johor Bahru.
The
championship was comprised of 3 events: the 3-Men team, the 3-Women
team and VIP 3-Man team. The participating teams were all by invitation
and with no entry fee.
YB. Dato Haji Sarmin
Bin Md Hussin, Pengarah Kastam Negeri Johor was invited to be our
Guest-of-honor for the opening match roll-off and also the closing
ceremony. YB. Dato was also invited to take part in the VIP 3-Man team.

JOFFA'S 25TH ANNIVERSARY
CELEBRATION - 13 NOVEMBER 2005
The JOFFA’s 25th
Anniversary Dinner was successfully held at the Grand Straits Garden
Seafood Restaurant Ballroom in Johor Bahru on 13 November 2005 (Sunday,
7:30PM).
A total of 85 dinner
tables were served with more than 800 people, majority of them JOFFA
members and invited guests including members of the media were present
for the occasion.
JOFFA’s president Mr.Toon
Teng Fatt and his committee were at hand to welcome the guest of honour
for the evening, Dato’ Haji Sarmin Bin Md Hussin, the Pengarah Kastam
Negeri Johor and the other VIP guests.
On hand to provide
entertainment for the evening was comedian Mr.Yusof Chong which also
included a Belly Dance performance, a Tai Chi demonstration and Jazz
singers.
There was also a lucky
draw with 10 grand prizes given away and the dinner ended at 10:45 PM
with the members and guests having thoroughly enjoyed themselves very
much.

TMnet - Integrating IT
with Logistics

TMnet Johor Bahru organised a
talk on the topic of Integrating IT with Logistics on 28 July 2005
at the Ponderosa Golf & Country Club. Mr.Victor Francis Beins, Vice
President of JOFFA was one of the invited speaker and other speakers were
Encik Mohd
Hafiz, representative of DagangNet Technologies Sdn Bhd,
Encik Nasser Ismail, Manager of Marketing & Corporate Communication, PTP
and Encik Zul Halim was the speaker of TMnet.
A total of 45 JOFFA
members was invited to attend this Talk Show. The event started at 3:30
pm and ended at 6:30 pm. The Hi-Tea was served immediately after the
closing remarks. |

Rakan Kongsi Bistari Award 2004 (Smart Partnership Award)

The Rakan
Kongsi Bistari Award 2004 was awarded to Johor Freight Forwarders Association
by the Kastam Diraja Malaysia, Johor. This award was presented by Tuan
Haji Sarmin Bin Md Hussin, Director-General of Kastam Diraja Malaysia, Johor to Mr.Toon Teng Fatt, President of Johor
Freight Forwarders Association. Also present at the Anugerah Pelanggan
Cemerlang Tahun 2004 were the Timbalan Menteri Kewangan II Malaysia Y.B Mulia
Tengku Datuk Putera Bin Tengku Awang and Director-general of Kastam Diraja
Malaysia Tan Sri Abdul Halil Bin Abdul Mutalib. The ceremony was held at the New York Hotel, Johor Bahru
on 28 February 2005. |

The JOFFA
Invitational Bowling Championship 2004

It
was the first time that the Johor Freight Forwarders Association (JOFFA)
organised the JOFFA Invitational Bowling Championship which was held on
28 November 2004 (Sunday 10:00am) at the Daiman Bowl, Taman Johor Jaya.
The
championship was divided into 2 events: the 3-Men team and the 3-Women
team. A total of 27 teams participated in the championship, 18 for the
3-Man and 9 for the 3-Woman. The participating teams were all by
invitation and no registration fee was charged.
Tuan Haji Sarmin Bin Md
Hussin, Pengarah Kastam Negeri Johor and Tuan Haji Shaari Bin
Abd Manaf, Timbalan Pengarah Kastam Negeri Johor were invited to be our
Guests-of-honor for the closing ceremony, both guests were also the
team members of the KDRM Johor, Wisma Kastam "A Team" took part in this
championship.
Kastam Diraja Malaysia Johor,
Pasir Gudang "A team" was emerged as the champion of the 3-Man Team and the Pejabat Kesihatan Negei Johor became the champion of the 3-Woman Team.

JOFFA Organised a Talk on Freight
and Forwarding
On 19 June 2004,
Joffa organised a talk on Freight and Forwarding at the Foon Yew High School
Hall. With the collaboration of Mr.C.W. Tang, Head of Public Relation and
Human Resource of Foon Yew High School, the attendance was beyond our expectation
with a total of 350 students turning up for the two-hour session.
The speakers for this talk were
Mr.Franky Lee, who spoke on the topic of Road Mode, which was delivered
in Mandarin and assisted by Mr.Tan Tong Hwee, Miss May Yee delivered in
English on the topic of Air Mode while Mr. Victor Francis Beins illustrated
on the operation of Sea Mode, which was conducted in English. Mr. Lim Pang
Hoon was the master of ceremony.

JOFFA's Charity Agenda 2004
On 17 January 2004,
as part of JOFFA's Charity agenda for this year, a few members led by committee
member Frankie Lee, donated cash, ang-pows, rice, milo, milk, adult napkins,
oranges, biscuits and soft drinks to the following homes;
1. Long Hua Old Folks in
Tampoi
2. Tampoi Old Folks Home
3. Home for Special Children
in Tampoi
4. Saleng Orphanage
5. Calvary Boys' Orphanage
in Kangkar Pulai
6. Spastic Children's Home
in Johor Bahru.
JOFFA donated RM 2,000.00 and
collected another RM 2,450.00 from personal donations from the members.
With a total of RM 4,450, we donated them to the above homes. This will
be the start of several Charity Campaigns that JOFFA will undertake to
carry out during selected festivals in Malaysia. JOFFA wants to share the
joy of each festive season with the less fortunate and this will be one
of our main focus for this year.

Rakan Kongsi Bistari Award 2003 (Smart
Partnership Award)
|
On 6 October 2003, the Rakan
Kongsi Bistari Award 2003 was awarded to Johor Freight Forwarders Association
by the Kastam Diraja Malaysia, Johor. The award was presented by YB En.Hashim
Bin Ismail, Setiausaha Parlimen Kementerian Kawangan Malaysia (Parlimentary
Secretary to Minister of Finance) to Mr.Toon Teng Fatt, President of Johor
Freight Forwarders Association. Also present at the Anugerah Pelanggan
Cemerlang Tahun 2003 were the deputy director-general of Kastam Diraja
Malaysia (Prevention) Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman Bin Abdul Hamid and Tuan Haji
Sarmin Bin Md Hussin, director-general of the Kastam Diraja Malaysia, Johor,
which was held at the New York Hotel, Johor Bahru. |
